General Description: Rosemary comes from the perennial herb Rosmarinus officinalis in the mint family. The fragrant needle-like leaves are used in flavoring many dishes.

Uses: Rosemary is used throughout the Mediterranean region and is most popular in lamb, chicken, and pork dishes. It is also used widely for landscaping as it is attractive, drought tolerant, and pest resistant.

History: Greeks believed Rosemary could strengthen the brain and enhance memory. It was used in Europe as incense during wedding parties as a symbol of fidelity.

Origin: Rosemary is native to the Mediterranean region. It is now produced in Spain, Portugal, and France.
